Cookie & Storage Notice

Last updated 23 June 2026

We built PrivacyFixed to expose tracking, so we don’t do it ourselves. This notice explains the limited, first-party browser storage the Service uses to function — and what it deliberately does not use.

No third-party tracking

PrivacyFixed uses no advertising or third-party tracking cookies, no analytics pixels, and no cross-site trackers. We do not load tags from advertisers or data brokers, and we do not profile you.

Strictly-necessary local storage we use

To make the Service work, your browser stores a small amount of first-party data on your own device. These are not transmitted to third parties:

  • Theme preference — remembers your light/dark setting.
  • Consent choice— remembers that you acknowledged how the Service works, so we don’t ask again every visit.
  • Scan hand-off — briefly holds a just-completed scan so the result page can display it; it is per-tab and cleared by your browser.
  • Interface settings — remembers minor preferences you set in the app.

Because this storage is strictly necessary for the Service to function and is first-party only, it does not require advertising-style consent under applicable cookie rules.

Managing it

You can clear this data at any time through your browser’s settings (clearing site data for privacyfixed.com). Doing so simply resets your preferences; it does not affect scans already saved to your history, which you can manage separately. Disabling local storage entirely may prevent parts of the Service from working.

Changes

If our use of storage changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
