Terms of Service

The Service at privacyfixed.com is operated by Maroof LLC, a limited liability company organized in Virginia, United States (“PrivacyFixed”, “we”, or “us”). PrivacyFixed lets you submit a public web address and returns an informational report on the outside companies, cookies, and tracking technologies observed on that page. The Service is provided for general informational purposes only.

By using the Service, you represent and agree that:

• you are at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract;
• you will submit only public web pages you are authorized to scan, and you will not use the Service to access any page requiring a login, payment, or other authorization you do not hold;
• you are solely responsible for the addresses you submit and for your use of any results.

You agree not to, and not to attempt to:

• use the Service to break any law, infringe any right, or access systems or data without authorization;
• overload, disrupt, probe, or circumvent the security or rate limits of the Service or of any site you scan;
• scrape, resell, or build a competing product from the Service, or misrepresent its output; or
• use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any person or company.

We may suspend or terminate access that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, without notice and without liability.

Reports describe what was observed during an automated scan at a point in time. They are not legal, compliance, or professional advice, are not an accusation of wrongdoing by any company named, and may be incomplete or inaccurate (sites change, and automated detection has limits). Risk labels describe a category by its documented purpose, not a legal conclusion about any site or company. Do not rely on the Service as your sole basis for any decision; verify independently.

Scanning is free and requires no account. We also offer optional paid subscription plans that unlock additional features, including saved scan history, your privacy-posture dashboard, site monitoring, and compliance reports. Current plans and prices are shown on our pricing page.

• Free trial. Paid plans begin with a 14-day free trial. We collect a payment method when you subscribe, but you are not charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins automatically and the first charge is made.
• Recurring billing. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you choose, and renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. All amounts are in U.S. dollars and exclude any taxes, which may be added where required.
• Cancellation.You may cancel at any time from your account settings, which opens our payment processor’s billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Refunds. Because every paid plan includes a 14-day free trial, fees already paid are non-refundable, and we do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods — except where a refund is required by applicable law.
• Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may suspend or downgrade access to paid features until the balance is settled.
• Price changes. We may change plan prices. Any change applies to your next renewal, and we will give you reasonable notice beforehand so you can cancel if you do not agree.

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number. Your use of the processor’s checkout and billing portal is also subject to its own terms.

The Service, including its software, detection methods, registries, text, and design, is owned by PrivacyFixed and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY RESULT IS COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRIVACYFIXED AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PRECEDING TWELVE MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PrivacyFixed and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, the addresses you submit, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.

The Service analyzes and may link to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, practices, or availability, and reference to a site is not endorsement.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes to the Terms will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above; your continued use constitutes acceptance. We may terminate or limit your access at any time as described in these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for disputes will be the state and federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
